Passive House in Kuyavian-Pomeranian Landscape.

An aim of this project is to achieve in all external partitions standards of passive building:

  • Super insulation; U≤0,15 W/(m²K),

  • Air tightness.Air leakage through unsealed joints must be less then 0,6 x the house volume per hour, when it is built,

  • Elimination of cold bridges,

  • Solar gain during winter, and  using of thermal mass to reduce summer overheating,

  • Convectional space heating is replaced by a combination of waste heat from appliances and heat recovery from ventilation.

  • The recovery heat should not be less than 80%

  • Using renewable energy from (heating water+ electricity).

A building consists of three thermal zones: a living space, a threshold, and garage. there is possibility of creating the fourth zone on the first floor with higher parameters of thermal resistance compared with ground floor, by creating a closed case for the stairs.

Design assumption is using construction wooden wall stiffen with OSB, filled with wooden fiber (width 32 cm).  To avoid cold bridges, walls are extra insulated lamella wool (width 40 cm), protected from wind by windproof membrane, fixed with butyl tape. Wooden elevation is mounted on moldings, insulated by PCV pads, to avoid low temperatures transition.
